Find out more about CBD and how it can enrich your life.
What is Cannabis?
Cannabis is a plant packed with more than 400 different compounds, most of them useful for human health. More than 60 of these are cannabinoids, the most common being cannabidiol (CBD) and delta-9 tetrahydro-cannabinol (THC). They are vital as alternative medical treatments for people who are ill.
What are Cannabinoids?
Cannabis is packed with chemical compounds called cannabinoids stored in the flowers of the cannabis plant. These active chemicals offer plenty of recreational and medicinal qualities which network with the body’s endocannabinoid system to maintain immune system balance. There are hundreds of different cannabinoids in each cannabis plant. The most common cannabinoids are THC, which makes the user high, and CBD, which has no side effects. Both are incredible healing therapies.
What is CBD?
Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of the most common cannabinoids extracted from the cannabis plant for use as an alternative therapy. CBD offers noteworthy medical benefits for myriad human conditions of body, mind and spirit. It does not make the user high or “stoned” as it is anti-psychoactive.

How does CBD interact with the endocannabinoid system? And what exactly is the endocannabinoid system?
The Ednocannabinoid System, is an important part of our neuro-immuno-endocrine network. This is the system of tissue and organs signalling in the human body that helps to send and receive chemical messages. The endocannabinoid system affects many aspects of our health that includes mood, pain, inflammation, stress response and immune function. Our bodies naturally produce their own cannabinoids, CBD or THC are known as “phytocannabinoids” and produced naturally in Hemp and Cannabis, THC and CBD can activate the same receptors in our bodies and therefore act as a natural supplement to help keep your system in check.
Will CBD make me feel high?
Cannabidol (CBD) is non psychoactive, CBD will allow you to feel relaxed without feeling intoxicated.
Is CBD safe to use?
CBD is not additive, there is zero scientific evidence to show that using CBD on a regular basis for health purposes poses any health risks to the patient at all.
What are Cannabinoids?
Cannabinoids are chemical compounds that are found with the cannabis and hemp plants. They imitate compounds that are naturally produced in our bodies “Endocannabinoids” that affect nerve, brain and immune cell activity. There are currently two known primary cannabinoid receptors, namely the CB1 and CB2 receptors. CB1 is located in the central nervous system, they affect appetite, muscle control, pain, cognition and stress. CB2 are found in the immune cells and are primarily focused on immune function support and immune cell proliferation, inflammation and pain.
What is the difference between hemp and cannabis?
Hemp contains THC levels that are less than 0.2%, Cannabis contains THC that is higher than 0.2%
